I Got My Health Back Through Pranic Healing

Pranic Healing

By Father Paulo Da Costa Freitas, FdCC

Prior to the Basic Pranic Healing Course last August 2022, I was diagnosed with liver fibrosis.  I have always felt dizzy since 2012.  I was unable to celebrate the Holy Mass in big churches.  My stomach felt bloated and pain reached my back and my head.  I had no balance.  I had difficulty sleeping.  I was also diagnosed with gastritis.  I felt a lot of physiological and psychological symptoms which my doctors had trouble treating.

I first heard about Pranic Healing in 1998 when I was having my formation in New Manila Canossians Sons of Charity. Gratefully, I was then invited to a Basic Pranic Healing Course. After the course, I did Meditation on Twin Hearts regularly and self-healing every day.  Finally, there was no longer dizziness.  I was able to celebrate the Holy Mass in big churches.  I have more balance.  I can stand steadily.  I started to sleep well.

My realizations:  First, I am able to help heal myself through Pranic Healing.  Second, I experienced how difficult life is to be unhealthy– I cannot move.  I cannot do anything. Hence, I want to help others.  I want to be a healer.   I have been there.

I felt more empowered when I learned about Pranic Healing.  I can now help more people.

Miracles Through Pranic Healing and Meditation

Several years ago, I was diagnosed with cervical disc desiccation, meaning the cervical or the 1st seven (7) spine in the neck region has become dehydrated reducing the flexibility and height of the disc. It is normal to wear and tear as part of the aging process. It manifested as a burning pain in my neck, and upper back, numbness, and weakness on my face and scalp radiating down my right shoulder, arms, hands, and legs. I was then in my early 50s.  There were times when I would almost fall due to sudden weakness in my affected leg, and the burning pain sensation in my back was bothersome.  It is not fatal but debilitating. I was informed that there is no treatment except for pain relievers, some exercises, or cervical injections- medical interventions that I knew would only provide temporary relief.

As a Pranic Healer I am aware that my condition is brought about by the malfunctioning of my chakras or energy centers, and by my prolonged improper emotions as well as the quality of blood circulation and the other systems in my body, resulting in the disorder.

At that time, I have been doing regular Meditation on Twin Hearts             (MTH). After a few months of doing the Meditation, I gradually was able to go about my daily routines without being bothered. It was then that I realized that the intensity of the pain and numbness has been substantially reduced, allowing me to function normally. Experiencing this benefit,   I did the practice even more intently by imagining and affirming that my physical and energy bodies be cleansed and purified.

I am grateful that I am a Pranic Healer and that I learned about MTH. I didn’t have to endure pain, be debilitated, unnecessarily; or take medications for life.

Where medical intervention ends, Pranic Healing perfectly complements. At times, it can be the only choice.  Having been healed completely of this condition even made me a better person, appreciating my health as I experienced adversity.  It made me more compassionate toward those who have been suffering from chronic debilitating illnesses. It is a saving grace. I have been free from this condition for several years now up to the present. It is one of the many miracles I have received in my practice.

Yes. We have a choice. We can choose Pranic Healing. I’m glad I did. What do you choose?

On Karma

Before Pranic Healing, I seldom or did not do service.  If someone needs help, I would prefer to donate.  Service was not me.

A lot has changed since I joined the Pranic Healing community in February 2021 and became an Arhatic Yoga practitioner in June 2021.

I have learned so much from the teachings, courses, and books in Pranic Healing (PH) and Arhatic Yoga (AY).

Since I took the Basic Pranic Healing class, I started to do the Meditation on Twin Hearts daily — once or twice a day.  This helped me develop self-awareness.  Slowly, I was able to regulate my emotions.  I became more patient with others. Meditation on Twin Hearts helped me slow down and become more aware of the people around me.

Then, I learned about the Law of Karma.

“Just as you create your present condition, you create your future through your present deeds.” (Grand Master Choa Kok Sui)

The philosophy of karma is essentially based on the concept that what we give is what we will receive. If a person does something with intention, good or bad, the karmic effect will return tenfold or more.

The law of karma is “self-determining” and “self-directing” which means “what goes around, comes around.”

We cannot blame anyone for the problems and challenges that we are facing.

In my case, I cannot blame anyone.

I had a lot of setbacks before PH — family, finances, and relationships. Bottomline: No one else is to blame for everything happening in our life.

In our Pranic healing courses, Grand Master Choa Kok Sui (GMCKS) points out the importance of regulating and modifying our actions to generate good karma.

We can neutralize our bad karma through service and tithing.

GMCKS has written, “Doing service develops the heart. Doing service accelerates spiritual development. It is faster to develop than meditating alone in the mountains.”

This was also emphasized by Master Faith Sawey in the courses and her nurturing sessions.  Initially, I didn’t understand what they were talking about.  Now, after being an AY for more than a year and serving in any way I can and in everything that I do—

I finally understood what this means.

Initially, I did lots of services because I wanted to neutralize all the negative karma or things happening in my life. In this way, I can experience more positive karma, more peace, and more happiness in my life.

Now, things have changed. I serve, serve and serve, simply because I want to help others as much as I can.

I feel love not only for my family, loved ones, and friends but even for people I don’t know and even people who treated me badly.  This I have seen several times even with people who treated me unfairly or badly.  I felt and understood where they are coming from.  I felt the love in my heart, understanding, patience, and tolerance of what was happening.

This was so unlike me before.

Still, I know that I still have a lot to learn and to know. I am still a work in progress.

Divine Connectedness: My Spiritual Lesson For Inner Peace and Happiness

By Atty. Chi Padayao

Do you agree that storms are a part of life? I do.

I was born and raised in Leyte. A rural province in the Philippines where land meets the deep Pacific Ocean. And where typhoons usually pass by.

In 2013, Super Typhoon Haiyan made landfall, the strongest typhoon ever recorded. So many lives were lost. Properties were severely damaged.

Sometimes other parts of life can be like a complex, confusing, and scary typhoon.

And it helps if there is a lifesaver when tidal waves of life come gushing through.

I learned about them in this school.

That one could be a victor, not the victim. To receive, we have to give.

Like all others, I started with the Basic Pranic Healing course. I could have spent the time and money to go on vacation instead. But being too fixated on the material aspect of life got me into trouble in the first place. This spiritual disconnection caused so much pain and unhappiness.

With Pranic Healing and the meditations, I learned about my true nature. I gave up the vices that trapped the spiritual self. And learned to heal. As I chose to give, I received.

“Chi, you can’t be a healer while you continue smoking. Do you wish to be healed?” said Master Faith.

“Sige po (Sure)?” was all I said. I wondered silently how it could be done since I had been trying to quit but failed.

“Tomorrow, my students in the Advance Pranic Healing course and Pranic Psychotherapy course will take you in as one of their patients,” said Master Faith (as if the Master read my mind!).

My friend Atty. Ning brought me to the Pranic Healing school. And she told me that Master Faith was one of the eight senior disciples of Master Choa Kok Sui and a very powerful healer.

The following day after the healing (thirty minutes session), I shared this experience with the healers (there were many of them):

“I feel lighter. It was easy to throw away my pack of cigarettes and the lighter. The cravings are gone. I feel as if I never smoked a cigarette my entire life.”

And, just like that, my addiction went away like a passing storm.

I realized that what I needed, what the body and soul needed, was this healing energy that was ultimately sourced from God.

I, the spiritual self, needed to be connected to the lighthouse that lights dark and stormy nights. It was the secret to my healing!

And luckily for us, this school teaches how to access that lighthouse, that healing love, light, and power that ultimately comes from God.

“In this school, we taught you to how to remove your energy blocks, have inner forgiveness, and follow the Golden Rule — that if you want good in your life, you must do good to yourself and others; and to be loving, if you want to be loved. You have free will, so it is still up to you to follow these simple instructions,” said Master Faith.

Lessons from fear and pain by Master Faith Sawey

In prayer, we talk to God, our fear walks out. In meditation God talks to us, our faith walks in.

God’s Light, Love & Power keep us WHOLE.

  • When we feel confused, we are enlightened.
  • When we feel weakened, we are strengthened.
  • When we feel dismayed, we are empowered.
  • When we feel broken, we are re-connected.
  • When we are depressed, we are enlivened.
  • When we fall down, we are rejuvenated.

As we tread the lighted Path, we encounter challenges, adversities, intricacies & pains …

but with God, we realize there are no problems,

THERE are only LESSONS to LEARN.

I’m a student of pranic healing. I can’t say I’m a pranic healer since we were taught that we are but channels of healing by the Divine Source.

Aside from a constant reminder to follow simple instructions as we explore the unlimited universe of energies, we are also encouraged to be discerning. Not to be blind followers but have that penchant to explore and suspend belief until tested.

So far, I’m enthralled and that is not just because we learn that indeed healing is a gift accessible to anyone as the creation of the Divine Source (Yups! You too can, if you want to. There are courses offered at the Mindanao Pranic Healing Training Center right here in Davao City, starting with the basic course that teaches you straight away how to heal in just two days). The greater awe is in discovering how energies work through numerous books pranic healing founder Master Choa Kok Sui wrote. Master Choa Kok Sui is a Cebuano of Chinese descent, that’s something we Pinoys can be proud of.

Being the bookworm that I am, I’ve been lugging around his books and discovering the deep learnings embedded there in very simple prose and instructions.

Thus, while reading the Advance Pranic Healing manual, a very short entry on “rapid growth” caught my eye because it said, the technique can be used on plants.

As friends and colleagues know, I love plants and planting. But I have black thumbs. My plants are scraggly, barely alive. Rhoda of PTV had a field day laughing at the five leaves of my tanglad plant. I never give up though. I can grow basil and oregano, a feat all my green-thumbed friends scoff at as anyone can do that, they say. If I can hardly make a lemongrass grow, you can imagine the euphoria I get when my basil and oregano grow.

Learning about “rapid growth” applied to plants, I experimented on my barely surviving blue ternate vine and it worked! My vine now is profuse with leaves and has been blooming as well. It’s a celebration.

Except that, it seems that even the weeds on my front yard are just as profuse. I have to experiment some more and figure out how to exclude rapid growth of weeds.

As I wrote earlier, I am but a student who is enjoying miracles and I am so looking forward to higher learnings especially because among these higher learning is… pranic agriculture. There is hope for the black thumbed.

Meditation: An Effective Way to Beat Stress and Worries

Meditation

Meditation is considered something religious for certain cultures. But that may not  always be true. Meditating helps one clear the mind and de-stress, especially during these challenging times.  No matter what religion we belong to.

Stress is a significant component of the immune system, more than we may think. In fact, de-stressing can greatly reduce the chances of contracting any illness.

Stress can mess with any part of our body. It can cause rashes, it can make us tired, and it can certainly lower our immune system.   It promotes the release of the hormone cortisol, that’s why.

Cortisol is beneficial in small amounts; but it can wreak havoc when out of control.

Cortisol can cause acne breakouts and unsightly rashes.

Much deeper,  cortisol actually weakens our immune system to the point that our body may not be able to protect against the virus.

This becomes evident when we really get stressed over an extended period of time that may lead to sickness.

Meditation is an incredible way to clear up the mind, alleviate stress, and may help prevent any illness.

Further, it allows us to take our mind off of the unpleasant events around us; and just being in a sacred place for a moment, we allow our body to relax.

Consequently, it helps reduce our stress level, lower our cortisol level, ultimately boosting our immune system.

Choose any type of meditation that works for you

Practices like yoga, Qigong, and Tai chi also involve meditation associated with movement, furthering the mind-body connection by adding movement to the practice.

There is also the use of guided imagery or guided meditation, in which we can visualize ourselves in a calm and relaxing state or mantra meditation where we choose a syllable, phrase, thought or word that we utter repeatedly, shutting off extraneous thoughts that are trying to invade our brain. Similarly, mindfulness meditation attempts to keep us in the here and now.  Cleansing our mind of the negative thoughts.

Meditation on Twin Hearts

I personally practice Meditation on Twin Hearts (MTH). This meditation is a simple yet powerful technique;  it incorporates four of the most common types of meditation: awareness, spiritual, focused, and mantra meditation.

MTH is an advanced guided meditation technique introduced by Master Choa Kok Sui, the founder of Modern Pranic Healing and Arhatic Yoga, which originated in the Philippines.

This meditation has been translated into over 20 languages.  Practiced by hundreds of thousands in more than 150 countries, MTH is used by people of different religions (including Hindus, Christians, Buddhists, Muslims, Sikhs, and Jains) as well as other cultures and philosophies.

Meditation on Twin Hearts is a simple yet powerful way to de-stress ourselves. Through the guided meditation, we use loving and positive energies (by focusing on the Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi), to bless other people. In doing so, we purge ourselves of the stressful energy that weighs us down.  What could be more de-stressing than that?

But don’t take my word for it.  You’ve got to experience it to believe it.

Join the Meditation on Twin Hearts… There’s a nightly schedule at 7:30Pm Monday to Friday via Zoom or FB Live. With Self-healing session to relieve stress, worries, relationship and even financial problems.
